Latest Highlights

Some Like It Hot 8:00 pm  ET

"Well, nobody's perfect," as Joe E. Brown suggests in one of the most famous punch lines in movie history, but Billy Wilder's zingy 1959 comedy will do nicely. It stars Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon as two footloose musicians on the run from mobsters. As Sugar Kane, the beauty who complicates their plans, Marilyn Monroe dispatches her breathless non sequiturs ("Real diamonds! They must be worth their weight in gold!") with matchless comic timing.

MythBusters 9:00 pm  ET

It's one of those events, like John F. Kennedy's assassination, that has had conspiracy theorists buzzing for decades: Did astronauts really land on the moon in the summer of 1969, or was it all an elaborate hoax staged by NASA? In this new episode, Adam, Jamie and their intrepid team of urban legend investigators go to work to determine whether the "hoax folks" may have something there.

Supernanny 9:00 pm  ET

Jo Frost arrives to help the Shrage family in a small Southern town. The parents' marriage is in quite a state, considering they have not shared a bed in eight years. The three girls are so out of control that their own grandmother, who lives with them, refuses to dine with them. Though the girls present a lovely front to the outside world, at home they run rampant, and it's up to Supernanny to restore order.

Johnson Family Vacation 6:00 pm  ET

Compared to this 2004 yawner, "National Lampoon's Vacation" is "Citizen Kane." You know the story: Family goes on road trip, and hilarity ensues. OK, maybe not hilarity, just the occasional chuckle. Which is more than what you want from a comedy. Cedric The Entertainer and Vanessa Williams play estranged spouses who reunite long enough to take the kids (Solange Knowles, Gabby Soleil and the no longer "Lil"' Bow Wow) to a family reunion. It gets mildly funny once they get to their destination and have to deal with an overcompetitive relative (Steve Harvey); too bad the action couldn't have begun there.

The Longest Yard 6:00 pm  ET

If you liked Adam Sandler's 2005 remake, check out the 1974 original. Burt Reynolds is in top form in director Robert Aldrich's rugged and hugely entertaining comedy-drama. Reynolds plays a convict who's blackmailed into leading a team of fellow inmates onto the playing field against the warden's (Eddie Albert) own football squad. Michael Conrad ("Hill Street Blues") also appears.

School for Seduction 6:15 pm  ET

With that title and the label "comedy," you'd expect this 2004 British import to be, you know, sexy and funny. It's neither. The improbable plot involves a mysterious Italian woman (Kelly Brook) who moves to Newcastle, England, and shakes up the lives of four women by teaching them how to be sexier and more confident. Guys, especially, should be warned that the male characters are cartoonishly bad. Kick this one to the dustbin.

Night at the Museum 8:00 pm  ET

Exhibits come to life at the Museum of Natural History, much to the alarm of a security guard (Ben Stiller) who finds himself the target of extinct creatures, in director Shawn Levy's hugely popular comedy-fantasy. Beyond the plentiful, well-executed special effects, the picture is notable for the solid roles it gives a couple of true showbiz veterans: Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney. Robin Williams, Mizuo Peck, Carla Gugino and Bill Cobbs also appear.

Wife Swap 8:00 pm  ET

Tonya Ives, a Georgia wife and mother who spends 10 months out of the year on the road with her family's high-octane extreme motorcycle stunt show, travels to Arizona to swap lives with Pam Coste, the matriarch of an artistic and environmentally aware family. In the days that follow, Pam tries to get the gas-guzzling Ives clan to practice conservation and experiment with art, while Tonya introduces some unabashed thrills into the lives of the Coste family.

Criminal Minds 9:00 pm  ET

A teenage boy and his girlfriend are at the heart of this episode's murder mystery, which brings the profilers to a small town in Texas. A serial killer is apparently on the loose, and the more victims found, the closer they get to figuring out the killer's motive. Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster and Shemar Moore star in "Elephant's Memory."

On Thin Ice 9:00 pm  ET

Even with multiple Oscar nominations and one win under her belt, Diane Keaton still doesn't mind the occasional TV job, as she proved by starring in this 2003 drama movie based on a true story. Keaton plays a widow struggling to support herself and her two children by selling drugs. The FBI gives her a chance to go straight by turning informant -- and entering the Witness Protection Program. Michael Rooker co-stars.

Disclosure 10:00 pm  ET

Michael Douglas returns to the "nice guy on the wrong side of a witchy woman" well (remember "Fatal Attraction" and "Basic Instinct"?) in this steamy 1994 thriller. He plays a computer executive who discovers that the promotion he expected has gone to a former flame (Demi Moore), who still burns for him. When she turns on the heat and then tries to accuse him of sexual harassment, he doesn't take it -- ahem -- lying down.

Shear Genius 10:00 pm  ET

Who'll make the cut? There are two different ways to take that question in the season finale, titled, appropriately enough, "The Final Cut." Linda Wells, editor-in-chief of Allure magazine, meets with the three remaining contestants to critique their work on the show and their portfolios. Then they submit to one final cutting, coloring and styling challenge. At the end, one takes home $100,000 and a chance to style the models for a feature in Allure.
